Welcome to the Mayan Palace at Nuevo Vallarta. We flew into
Puerto Vallarta and refer to the general location as Puerto Vallarta,
but we actually stayed at the Mayan Palace in Nuevo Vallarta. This
is how the bedroom looked when we entered. A nice touch.
We headed out for a day of diving. It was quite good. Not as good
as the Cancun and Cozumel side, but certainly worth making the
dives. Nice boats, competent divemasters.
This is where Night of the Iquanas was filmed. In the
hills/mountains is where Predator was filmed. We had some nice
ceviche and cerveza on the beach. We weren't attacked by any
snakes, frogs, or predators, but the locals will keep coming by with
their wares. We did buy a couple of cords to hold our sunglasses
in place. They were a Harley-Davidson motif.
Our zip line adventure ended up crossing this river to end at the
bar and gift shop. Earlier legs of the canopy tour had traversed
the river as high as 450 feet. It was an exciting day, Well worth it.
